Title: Introducing Myself – The Journey of a Tech Enthusiast

My Background and Education

Hello! My name is Steve Hentschke, born on March 10, 1979, in Erfurt, Germany. I am a passionate IT professional with a keen interest in software development, robotics, and artificial intelligence. I have completed my education in the field of IT specialist for system integration from David-Röntgen-Schule / Calderys Deutschland GmbH & Co. oHG Neuwied, Rheinland-Pfalz.

During my three-year training, I gained valuable experience in various aspects of system integration and IT support. As part of my education, I developed a system for data acquisition, evaluation, and control of goods, which ensured in-house catering.

My Professional Experience

Throughout my professional journey, I have worked in several esteemed organizations, including Computacenter AG & Co. oHG, DB Systel GmbH, IBM Deutschland CSS GmbH, and Faurecia, among others. My work primarily focused on system engineering, administration, and IT support. My confident and dedicated approach often reduced downtime to a minimum.

Some of the highlights from my professional experience include:

  1. Server Operation Center Infrastructure Server / Domain Services: I have managed and administered Active Directory Domain Services, Group Policy Objects, and Windows Server environments. I have also provided 2nd level support in the Server Operation Center.
  2. Client Design Development Printing Solutions: I have worked on partial concept development for print infrastructure, Unix eLux operating system implementation on dedicated print servers, and documentation for print infrastructure using Visio & Project.
  3. Managed Service, Monitoring, Cisco Telepresence: My experience in this domain includes Icinga & Nagios monitoring, network architecture, administration of network components (Cisco), ticket handling, and incident management for 2nd & 3rd level support.
  4. IT Support / Administration: I have provided IT support for over 4500 German employees, remote administration of user clients, 2nd level support for SAP, Active Directory accounting, and Citrix XEN Server administration, among other tasks.
  5. In recent years, my focus has shifted more and more to web applications. I have built and supervised the following systems in recent years: CheckMK, Wikis, IPAMs, Redmine & various web servers and partly self-developed applications.

My Skills and Certifications

I possess a diverse skill set, including expertise in Apache, Citrix Presentation Server, MS Terminal Server, Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, FTP/HTTP, SMTP, Lotus Notes Domino Server, VMware ESX Server, VMware vSphere, and VirtualBox. My language skills include fluency in German and a good understanding of English.

I have completed several certifications and trainings, such as ITIL V3 Foundation, NetApp Ontap Cluster Administration & Protection, and a Class 3 driver’s license.

My Social Competencies and Interests

I am a team player with strong motivational, conflict resolution, and networking skills. Since 2014, I have been volunteering at the Verein zur Förderung der Technikkultur in Erfurt e.V. I founded the Makerspace Erfurt in 2016 and led it until 2018. I have conducted DIY & IoT events for children and young people.

Additionally, I have a keen interest in CNC, 3D printing, CAD, mechanical engineering, and construction design.

My Aspirations in Robotics and AI

Recently, I have developed a strong fascination for robotics and would like to explore career opportunities in this field. I am particularly interested in the software development of artificial intelligence and robotics. I thrive in creative technical environments and enjoy working on innovative projects.

Passion for Robotics and Artificial Intelligence

In recent years, I have developed a keen interest in robotics and artificial intelligence (AI). I find these fields incredibly fascinating and believe that they hold immense potential for the future. My goal is to continue developing my skills and knowledge in these areas, with a particular focus on the application of AI and robotics in creative and technical environments.

My passion for robotics and AI is reflected in the projects I have been involved with over the past few years. One example is robots-love.me, a domain I registered after becoming fascinated with robots in 2019. My passion for Raspberry Pi, a versatile tool for computer scientists, has also led me to develop a unique Raspberry Pi project called y4rh.net.

In addition to these personal projects, I have been actively participating in various online directories and communities related to robotics, AI, and technology. These platforms have allowed me to expand my knowledge, share my expertise, and connect with like-minded individuals in the field.

Some of the directories and communities I am active in include:

  • GrabCAD: A platform for sharing 3D models and design resources.
  • Hackster.io: A community for sharing and learning about hardware and software projects.
  • GitHub: A platform for collaborating on projects and sharing code related to robotics and AI.

As I continue to grow in my career, I am committed to further developing my expertise in robotics and AI. I believe that my passion, combined with my strong background in software development and system integration, will make me a valuable asset to any team working on innovative projects in these fields.

In conclusion, I am excited to bring my experience, skills, and passion to a new challenge in the world of robotics, AI, and software development. I am confident that my unique combination of skills and interests will allow me to make a significant contribution to any company and help drive innovation in these exciting fields.
